OD Quartey Foundation Donates Essential Supplies to Chosen Rehab Center

Accra, Ghana – February 24, 2024 – The OD Quartey Foundation (ODQF) team brought a beacon of hope to women undergoing rehabilitation at the Chosen Rehab Center

Led by the foundation’s President, Vice President and  team of dedicated volunteers, the foundation delivered a generous donation of essential items to support the women’s center in its noble efforts to rehabilitate and empower individuals in need.

The donation, consisting of food groceries and household detergents, was warmly received by the Chosen Rehab Center staff and residents. As a non-profit organization, Chosen Rehab Center provides free boarding facilities to rehabilitate drug addicts, alcoholics, street kids, and the homeless. Their comprehensive program spans three months, during which participants receive intensive support and care to overcome their challenges and reintegrate into society.

Ms. Jumoke Lafenwa, the founder and President of OD Quartey Foundation, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to support Chosen Rehab Center’s vital work. “We are honored to stand alongside Chosen Rehab Center in their mission to transform lives and provide hope to those in need,” she remarked. “Our donation is a small gesture of our commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals.”

Chosen Rehab Center’s holistic approach to rehabilitation includes providing participants with all their basic needs during their stay, ensuring they receive the support and resources necessary for their journey towards recovery and empowerment. Upon completion of the program, Chosen Rehab Center facilitates the reunion of participants with their families and assists in securing jobs and accommodation to facilitate their successful reintegration into society.

The ODQF team’s visit to CRC served as a powerful reminder of the collective impact possible when community organizations come together. By joining forces, they can provide crucial resources and encouragement to individuals navigating challenging circumstances, empowering them to reclaim their lives and contribute meaningfully to society.

The key issue was that when Congress enacted the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (OCSLA), it gave the president authority to withdraw areas from oil and gas leasing, but made no mention of revoking previous withdrawals.

As OD Quartey Foundation continues its commitment to serving the community, it remains steadfast in its belief that everyone deserves a chance at a better life. Through acts of kindness and generosity, like the recent donation to Chosen Rehab Center, the foundation aims to inspire hope, uplift spirits, and create brighter futures for all.
